Following the success of our volunteering programme at Edinburgh Festival Camping, which is now about to enter into it’s 3rd year, we believe we can offer more at our other events, including our Micro Internship positions available at Camp Cardiff and The Game Fair Camping for those interested in and building towards a career in Event Management.

Volunteering placements from 5 days to 4 weeks

Daily volunteer shifts from 3 hours to full time

Across our different events we are offering different models for volunteering so fill in the form below and we will contact you with further information. Volunteering is a wonderful experience. It provides a great opportunity to get work experience in a different industry, learn new skills, make contacts and meet new friends.

  • Learn new skills
  • Gain ‘on the job’ experience in event management and customer services
  • Add to your C.V.
  • Meet people from all over the world
  • Have an opportunity to explore your interests with like-minded people
  • Be part of a team and a community
  • Get free accommodation at world class events

Our new Micro Internship offers an exclusive insight into all aspects of the event and its organisation. Open to students and individuals trying to develop their experience in Event Management, this is a short but intensive course covering all areas.

  • Get practical experience on the job
  • Learn about operations management
  • The role of other agencies and event permissions
  • Assets and purchasing
  • Customer services and software systems
  • Site management
  • Get your hands dirty creating and running the campsite

For each Micro Internship, the intern will work alongside staff, covering all areas throughout the internship. This is a full-time volunteering position and you will take on your own role on the campsite as a member of our team. Training and ongoing support will be provided. Creating campsites requires high energy levels, so a positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach to any situation is a prerequisite.

Available for Camp Cardiff and The Game Fair.

To apply for Edinburgh Festival Camping’s volunteer programme, please fill in the application form on their volunteer page.
